Love, love will keep us together! (And such.)

Well, I tried to watch the movie Twilight online. I was recommended this site by Megan, of "Just a Girl and Her Blog". In the end I did not end up watching it, for a few key reasons. Once on the site, it told me I needed to download a poop load of stuff, including Firefox, a whole new freaking web browser! Once I got, what was in the end, not such a poop load of stuff, (Firefox, and adobe flash player.) The video quality was terrible. (On the side, NICE FALSE ADVERTIZING!) My internet bugged out (normal) and then, it magically uninstalled adobe. I went to do it again, but adobe was still there. After getting my new adobe, and ditching the other one in the trash I went to the site, but it would no longer play the video! After a while of useless retrying, I finally decided to think, "Do I really want to watch this?" And decided that I didn't want to, for a couple of reasons.

1. The quality was disgusting!

2. They screwed up James.

3. Even if I hadn't read the book, it would have still been predictable, and possibly boring.

4. What's up with James?

5. None of the actors seemed right for their positions. Well, really, I only know of four actors for characters. But Bella seems too, useful. Like she is good at stuff, and has a purpose. Edward seems waaaaaay to high on himself. Charlie, looks too cool. Not that I mind cool, but he just isn't the Charlie we saw in the books.

6. How can you live with James like that?

7. I don't think it will be satisfactory as a romance. It seems to lean more towards how sweaty we can make Edward look while fighting people?

8. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO JAMES!?

9. I don't need to see it, because I know that the best romance of all time is, and always will be, "Love Actually." Don't deny it.

10. WHAT IN THE NAME OF F*** DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING YOU MOTHER F*****S! YOU TWITS THINK YOU CAN JUST WALK IN HERE AND TURN JAMES IN TO THIS P**** WITH A PONEYTAIL!

All prophanity aside, this is why I did not watch Twilight, this night. But yeah, Love Actually is the greatest romance ever, and is a must watch. But there is some pretty raunchy stuff in it. There is mild nudity, and harsh language, but that's about it. DO NOT WATCH IT WITHOUT PARENTAL APPROUVAL! But it is one of the funniest, and (dare I say it) cutest movies ever. It's a bunch of little love stories that happen in England, including two people who get together through doing a porn video. It's funny, because the guy is Mr.Wiesley from Harry Potter. And a kid, who's crush is moving to America, so he needs to learn to play music to impress her, all the while, a famous retired musician is making a comeback for Christmas (The setting for the movie.) and, is trying to reach stardom, and the love of the people again. There are a bunch more stories in the movie, but these are the ones I feel like mentioning.

So yeah, I'll update. Well, the current stuff is pretty much that, and I'm having a girl my age stay with me, as a billot. Her name is Kate. My mother is worried.

The video of the week is some video's for meeting characters for the video game Team Fortress 2 (third video down). I decided to put this up because it felt funny, because the animation style is that of Pixar movies, and there is just a bit of dark humor about that. It feels like the Incredibles were just handed sniper rifles, gernade launchers, and baseball bats, then told to fight to the death. Anyways, don't watch it with a weak stomach, there is some gore.

Picture will be put up when I find one, it will be awesome.

I don't want to explain the poll.

Killing children? Lies!

Keep on rocking! (Doctor.)

Nathaniel.

Nathaniel, Jacob is hot. What do you mean "what did they do to Jacob"?? He is soo hot I <3 Taylor Lautner

Nathaniel said...

Hey Taylor. Taylor from my class, correct? Well, I'm talking James here. James was my favorite character. And despite his bad taste in women, he was the best. Also, haven't seen the movie, so I can't really say.

I'm rather disgusted by what they did to Jacob. I think that what they did to his hair is absolutely ridiculous. Taylor Lautner is very nice looking... :P ...but the wig is atrocious.

blogsarelame sauce, 'scuse me, is possibly Robyn. (glares)

I misjudged! It's not Robyn! (smacks forhead)

I must say, I must see Love Actually. And, the movie changed the book, but to some, in a GOOD way. Bella doesn't seem quite as needy or whiny. And the Charlie changes were...different, but I thought it was okay.

Yeah, James was messed up, I do agree. But... he was sorta James. More sadistic and they got rid of the James/Alice sideplot whateverzness. Which was totally mean. But whatever...

Edward was cool enough to me... once again, not the same as the book, but, Edward.

Overall, I still liked it.

*isshot*

Oh my goodness, I am so anxious to see the movie!I honestly think that it's going to be really good. What is depressing is that I'm not allowed to see it 'til I'm 16, which is a year and about a month and a half from now. Grrr.

Dibsy said...

Why, Kathy? My friends watched it, they're like 11?

Y'know Edward is kinda creepy. He looks all pallid and ill. :O

Guess what? I was just informed that Cullen isn't pronounced 'KOO-lehn', but it's actually pronounced 'kuh-lin', with no stress! XD Huzza!

Dibsy said...

lol. go to youtube and type in twilight spoof, and therell be one made by evilguana or something, watch it NOW. lmao!

Anonymous said...

Well, Dibsy...

I think it's because seeing the movie is like going one step farther into the Twilight world, and that's a world that they don't want me to be in. They think vampires are evil.

Anonymous said...

Oh, btw, "they" is my parents. :P

L.T. John said...

I thought "they" were the Russian mafia....

I think your parents should know that the author lady is a devout mormon. Maybe that might quell some of their fears.

Nathaniel said...

Yeah, your parents seem a bit over protective. I mean, it's just fantasy! Do they expect you to go off and drink human blood, or become a dark clothed emo or something? They should have more faith in you.

Anonymous said...

Haha, John.

They know she's a Mormon. I told them. It didn't help. The Mormon belief system is just a tad difference from ours, so it's not the same as if a christian wrote it. Besides, even if a christian did write it, it's still vampires, and they're dead set against them.

I know, Nathaniel.

I've thought that myself at times. I don't think it's that they expect me to go all emo or something, but they think that if I read or watch too much about vampires, which are evil (in their minds), I might get too comfortable with evil, and then I'd be more subject to temptation. You won't like this, but it always comes back to our beliefs.

Hey I like your blog, LOL nice poll, I'm going to follow... Cruz

PS Hi Dibsy (^.~)

Tracer Bullet said...

For your information human blood is very satisfying. Seriously why do vampires drink blood? It's been proven through the various breeds of vampire bat that blood has very few calories and you'd need to drink an awful lot of it to do you any nutritional good. It's all just myth and legend designed to be a scary story on purpose although every story can be twisted for better or worse. I'm rereading a book with a few vampires in it and the story goes that vampires have no emotions so some of them drink blood to feel the emotions within the blood. That just got realy technicle over something that didn't exist.

Nathaniel said...

Grrrrrr. Damn beliefs. I've heard that the only religion that makes sense is Mayan belief, but I think the best one is Buhdism.

To use beliefs in a practical term would be this, God gave us emotion because he loved us, correct? Well the only reason in giving us emotion, and free will is so we can enjoy life, unlike some mindless drones. Well I doubt that this suposed perfect figure would be so hypacritical as to give us free will but demand that we follow every waking day in his footsteps. Then there's no free will at all. If you want to think of him like that, then he isn't so perfect. There's a reason he's "Our Father" because he sees the world as one. He wants the best for us, and doesn't need anything in return, or at least won't ask. But like all children, we naturally love our parents, so we love him back, and show him respect. And even if you don't and resent him, he'll still try and love you, and won't punish you, or cry while he does.

Now this is all theoretical, as to how God should be percieved. Personally it doesn't make much sense to me, but it certainly is a nice thought.

And plus. You've earned their trust. Over the 14, almost 15 years of your life, what reason have you given them to distrust you. Your even at the point where the government trusts you enough to allow you to watch it. I'm not saying that you need to go around your parents, but you need to talk to them about some leniance, and get some trust on the go.

Good advice?

Dibsy said...

like, double you tee eff kit kat is up with your parents??

Anonymous said...

*Sigh*

Nathaniel, what you're saying is very good advice (except for some of the stuff you said about God, which I'll touch on a little later). It's just that when I was reading the books, they didn't want me to read them, so I went behind their backs and read them anyway. They found out and of course their trust in me plummeted. It's not a nice feeling to have your parents trust you all your life and then suddenly think that you're a deceitful, disobedient, untrustworthy child. So now I'm trying to earn their trust back by waiting patiently (however difficult it may be) for my 16th birthday to read the fourth book and watch the movie. And I can kinda understand where they're coming from. Honestly, vampires can be creepy. And in their minds, vampires are evil. And like I said, they don't want me to get to comfortable with evil things. I guess it's hard to understand if you don't see things the same way we do.

Oh, and I'm not allowed to read the fourth book yet because apparently there's a pretty graphic sex scene in it. So.

Now, to address your perception of God. Yes, he did give us free will, but he asks that we follow his commandments because he knows what's best for us and gave us those commandments for a reason-to protect us.

As for having fun: I do that all the time without resorting to bad stuff, and I'm not that dependent of Twilight. Some of the times...no, in fact, ALL of the times where I've been having the most fun were times at church, or at a youth retreat with my church youth group.

"What is up with my parents?" you ask...well, they love me and they want to protect me.

Nathaniel said...

I think your only furthering my point on God though. We're like rebelious teens in that sense. I know that the ten comandments are good rules to live by too. I mean "Thou shalt not kill." or something like that, that's always a good rule to live by. But then there's the feeling of unease, feeling like somebody knows more about you then they should, or understanding you better, or "Knowing what's best." It's kind of a scary thought for me. If I have free will, I want the full feel free to do what I want package. Not saying that you can't, but I guesse it's one of my fears that somebody out there knows who I am, and I don't. I went a little too far there.

Also, I didn't say anything about your methods of having fun. I never thought that you depended solely on Twilight. There are way better things than Twilight.

And I wasn't thinking what was with your parents, or considering asking it. I have met your parents (Actually only your mom, I belive.) and I know that they are very nice people, and love you very much.

L.T. John said...

'Nother question. What's wrong with sex, let alone one of the tamest sex scenes in a book (drawing back on the writer being a mormon) after marriage? (or even before, but that isn't the point) Sex is natural, and I'm pretty sure your parents frown upon pre-marital sex.

Also, did you tell your parents you read the Twilight books, or did they catch you? (I'm pretty sure it's the first, that's the kind of person you are) I would have LOTS of trust in my child if they felt that they had done something wrong, and had confessed.

Regardless, your parents are doing what they think is right, and I wouldn't dream of blaming them.

(There are MANY better things then Twilight, including getting head-shots in Tf2)

Anonymous said...

Yeah, ummmm...I didn't tell them. *shamefaced* they caught me.

And I know that it's sex after marriage, which is good, and I know my parents would approve. But they think I'm too young to be reading about sex. I mean, I'm only 14 (almost 15).

Dibsy said...

...but I read about that. :(? I'm 11.

L.T. John said...

Yet again, age has very little, if anything, to do with sex. It's fricken' natural! As natural as death or birth!

Plus, don't you take sex ed. in school?

hey im back yall

misuchlls alive! huzza! (i completely forgot about you, but forget that, you haven't been brutally murdered) ...yet! ^^

RevolutionaryLore said...

nope. at least not yet....

and by the way, sex is more natural than marriage.

Dibsy said...

in the history channel, they were talking about the history of sex, and they talked about how it was so common in the olden days, like for adam and eve, to do it like holding hands. just wanted to share that fact...

Anonymous said...

John!!! Sex has everything to do with age! It's the highest level of intimacy, and not only do you have to be physically ready, you have to be mature and emotionally ready. And those things are very dependent on age.

L.T. John said...

I said reading/learning about sex. I did NOT say "hey, I'm gonna go have sex now :D". And I view myself as being emotionally ready, let alone physically ready to learn about it.

And yes, Michael, sex IS more natural then marriage

Nathaniel said...

This is a bit of an awkward question, but does anyone else suspect that they'll end up having sex before marriage, besides the obvious (Yes Aly, we all know your firm stance on this subject, you've mentioned it a million times.)

Dibsy said...

well then wat about those ppl forced 2 do it and 2 marry early anyways? wat about dem?

By the way, my answer to your question, Nathaniel: I don't intend to have pre-marital sex. I would only want to give that to the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I don't care if most people lost their virginty in high school; I don't plan on being part of those statistics.

Anyway: HI EVERYBODY! AGAIN! I'll try to come back ASAP!

Bye... *cries* *sobs* *snifflez* I will miss you all! *strangle hugs everybody*
